Chihuly
In 2011 Highland Street Foundation sponsored the acclaimed Chihuly: Through the Looking Glass exhibition. This exhibition featured the work of world renowned glass blower Dale Chihuly and its centerpiece was the 42-foot-tall Lime Green Icicle Tower. The exhibition was one of the most attended in MFA history. After the exhibition the popularity of the tower was so immense that the MFA raised funds to purchase it from the artist. It now has a permanent home in the museum’s courtyard.
