About MENTOR
One in three young people will grow up without a mentor, yet studies have shown that when given a mentor, youth are 55% more likely to enroll in college, 78% more likely to volunteer, and 130% more likely to hold a leadership position. .
MENTOR, the National Mentoring Partnership, is the unifying champion for expanding quality youth mentoring relationships in the United States. For more than 25 years, MENTOR has served the mentoring field by providing a public voice; developing and delivering resources to mentoring programs nationwide; and promoting quality for mentoring through evidence-based standards, innovative research, and essential tools.
In 2015 we expanded our commitment to mentoring by becoming a founding supporter of MENTOR’s national In Real Life campaign. Launched in response to President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative, this campaign aims to close the gap for the millions of young people growing up without a caring adult outside the home to guide them.
