About Community Impact Consultants
We provide nonprofits a professional consultant for a six-month period to help them address a specific need within their organization. The consultants are chosen for their extensive and proven management and nonprofit experience in their respective functional areas.
In order to be eligible, organizations must be based in Massachusetts, possess their 501(c)3 status, and have operating budgets between $500,000 and $4 million. We run two sessions each calendar year, from January through June, and from July through December.
The program addresses issues such as:
• fundraising/development planning
• strategic plan development
• communications/public relations
• marketing/branding
• board development/governance
• accounting & financial planning
Once finalists are chosen, they are invited to a formal interview and, if chosen, paired with a consultant. In addition to frequent monitoring throughout the process, the consultants are asked to put together a longer progress report at the three-month mark. The consultancy culminates at the six-month mark and includes a report identifying specific measurable indicators for each outcome and a long-term strategic plan for the organization.
The December through June 2025 CIC program
is currently in progress.
