Our TADpole 10 program encourages families and nonprofit groups to enjoy the Boston Common and to pursue healthy and educational activities throughout the summer. Created in 2012, it was an expansion of our popular summer reading series.
How it Works
On ten summer Thursdays, we host more than 500 young children at the TADpole Playground on the Boston Common. The ReadBoston Storymobile attends each week to bring a storyteller and distribute books to participants. Additional educational programing is presented by different nonprofit partners. TADpole 10 even includes a fun, inclusive play session with the team from Playworks.
The program runs for 10 weeks, from the end of June through August, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the TADpole Playground next to the Frog Pond on the Boston Common.
The 2017 summer season will run every Thursday from June 22 to August 24.
